Breaking Ice and Breaking Walls
overview
Relationships Are The Key
As we return to our schools, our relationships with other stakeholders is just as important as the relationship with our kids. Engaging with community is an important step in buiding those relationships and developing a high quality afterschool program.
By engagement we are not just talking about sign in and sign out. We are talking about developing an intentional plan to collaborate with parents, teachers, adminstrators, and others who have a stake in the growth and development of your students.
Breaking ice and Breaking Walls
In this workshop, we examine how we connect to the community and learn strategies to strengthen those ties to better support our students and their families.
Staff will identify key stakeholders in student’s success from parents, and teachers, to other school staff, and develop strategies for building mutually beneficial relationships.
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
SEL Virtual Workshops
Our social and emotional (SEL) workshops were developed to empower your staff with the tools and knowledge they need to help improve their student’s emotional IQ.
We do this by focusing on the core competecies of SEL: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Each of the following workshops can be delivered as stand alone content.
